Happy New Year to all you wonderful people! May this be our best year ever! I raised a glass to you all, actually, a number of glasses, as I downed a whole bottle of champagne last night while bringing in 2023; the good stuff goes down so smoothly. Fortunately, I only do this once a year. I drank the last glass after I got in bed, so there was no danger of falling asleep in my chair. 😆 Off to celebrate a friend's birthday today, a great way to begin the new year. Tomorrow I'll settle down on a more sober note and focus on the job at hand.

Happy New Year Shirl. I'm giving up sweets today after 2 months binging. But I did have a glass of wine while fixing dinner tonight. Am not ready to give up high carbs yet. I'll take baby steps.

Oh my gosh! If I drank a whole bottle of champagne I would first of all e hugging the commode and second, I would have such a headache I wouldn’t be able to go anywhere. I’m glad you are ok. Enjoy yourself today

Kenna, I find that as long as I stay away from sweet drinks I don't suffer from hangovers (not that I have much opportunity these days, since I rarely have even two glasses of wine). I woke up feeling great, as usual, and had a mimosa at brunch.
