Better week food-wise. Sadly the scales haven’t moved yet. Will they move by Monday?🤷🏽‍♀️ The urge to self sabotage is strong🥺. However, I am 5.5kg lighter than this time last year. So that’s something I suppose. Have a fabulous weekend FS folk🥰

That's great news, Suma. 5.5kg lighter than last year is a result a lot of people would love to achieve as, generally speaking, we increase a little bit every year. Imagine if you achieve that loss again by this time next year 😲

Thanks Marge! Why does all the food I crave have a bazillion calories😂?! I’m going to do some housework so hoping I burn some calories that way. What delicious delicacy is on your menu today? I always find it amusing when people get squeamish around food.

You’re right Anne. That would make me feel worse. I need to work on gaining control quicker following holidays as this could’ve easily spun the other way. I am back to basics with everything and trying to rewire my fasting routine. Hopefully I see results tomorrow. Have you tried reading ‘A tale of two cities’ yet? Do let me know what you think x.

I listened to it, Suma, on Radio 4 Drama. I like Miss Pross the best. We could all do with a Miss Pross in our lives 😀😀😀

😂😂not sure governesses like Pross exist anymore. Can’t believe the poor woman went deaf! My favourite is Sydney Carton…he reminds me of a couple of people very close to me, who are highly intelligent, but are so consumed with self loathing, they struggle to relate to life in any real way. I hope you enjoyed it. I like that it’s full of strong women, I found the men in the story very passive and dull.

Madame Defarge was perhaps a bit too strong for me 😯😀Dickens wrote wonderful characters and knew human nature so well.

I hated her when I was very young. She just seems so brutal and vicious. Her soul was fed on hate alone…in my young mind, I likened her to the sea witch from the little mermaid (from the original fairytale).

Suma, I have struggled too recently, this last 2 months I have only lost 4 or 5 lbs and that keeps going up and down xx

Suma, food is just too enjoyable 😋. That's the problem. No delicacies today - back to healthy living. So it's bean and lentil salad and lots of tomatoes from the garden. 🍅❤

Suma, all my week's start out with the best intentions, I plan what I'm going to eat for the week ahead b4 I go shopping. Somehow I just have a little deviation then that's it I've lost my way again! I have 1 little cheat then the next day ive gained, then I panic then I just lose my way. Seems a theme for me recently xx

I've not been very disciplined lately Suma. . Too many crisps, ice lollies and other junky treats. But I am determined to clean up my diet from today 💪 I mainly eat plant-based and it is pretty much all we have at home, but I do enjoy fish and very occassionally red meat when I go to a nice restaurant and all restrictions are off when it comes to a good dessert!🍨🤎

I’m the opposite of you Addison. I never plan, I just make it up as I go with my meals. Which is why I manage to hit targets some weeks but not others. Do you know why you’re so hard on yourself when you deviate slightly? Perfection is overrated and you’re doing fabulously x

@Marge, ice lollies? Is it still warm where you are? Summer here seems to be fading fast, which makes me sad. I want to be more plant based but have a mental block around it. Probably a learnt behaviour that’s preventing my progress. Your goals for the week sound good. Looking forward to reading your progress xx

Still hot and dry here, and forecast to be really hot again later in the week, but I think the ice lollies are mainly a sugar habit I've developed. Hot weather is just an excuse 🙄
