I had an interesting day yesterday. After church I was starving so we made a decision to eat dinner really early at Golden Coral. I navigated the buffet like a champ. I used the food knowledge I have learned here to make good choices. I ate some lean meat and went heavy on the green veggies and stayed away from the starches. BTW, They have a huge selection of veggies which is why we choose Golden Coral. Once we got back home I didn't eat anything except a fist full of nuts as an night time snack. This morning my weight is down after eating the day before at a buffet. Amazing...

My wife and daughter love Golden Corral and I use the same approach when we go. It's really pretty easy with the huge selection they've got and everyone leaves happy. Win-Win!

Kudos for exercising control. I've gone there and have seen people walking by with small mountains of food on their plates. I do love their Okra. They do have a wonderful selection.

You can't go wrong with a garden salad. I tend to shy away from cooked veggies in restaurants because you don't know if they were drowned in oil, butter or salt, or worse, out of a can (and lacking any nutrition). But at least you avoided the dessert buffet.
