Deep breaths, find center. Woke up to a flurry of texts from work, just finished, taking dogs for a walk. Very short walk last night with mom, but at least got her moving and cognizant that if you don’t use it, you lose it. Haven’t showered and since we’re going into canyon, really no point this late in the day. Blob up, everything else way down. We’ll see where it takes us next week. Hoping some steep grades will pull water back into the muscles and might swim, dunno at this point. So all good, moving quickly to enjoy the day. I did find a cool road to take the kids down with a bunch of decorations not quite as cool as your roads apparently. you have some really cool places to go my dear. but cooler than our average places I'm really stoked to take the kids we're going to go on Monday and show up a bunch of the different decorations after school before Ryan goes to work. of course she is trick or treating so I'm not sure if they'll be doing any trick or treat on that street or not they may go elsewhere where they've done all the decorations so pretty and have their own celebrations. but Ryan asked off six months in advance to be able to get her treat off for the kids so I don't have to walk them to all the different locations this year he'll be able to take me to one of the nicer neighborhoods so that's nice. normally I have to walk them to any kind of decent location for us to be able to trick or treat. Please don't my concern and discourse as an ugly comment it's just that a lot of our area has heavy concerns for meth and heroin drugs and I don't like to take the children down those streets because a lot of the heavier crime happens down on the streets. So when I do take them normally I would take them about a few miles down to what I consider to be a more "well to do neighborhood" it's not that I'm not sure that those other neighborhoods don't have some wonderful families it's just that there are so many police/ambulance on the street constantly that I am concerned that if I was to take the children down the streets that they would be in danger.

Leah, never ever apologize for being safe. My neighborhood was not the best when I moved in, and we’re doing our best to hold onto the gains we’ve made, but everything is cyclical. Safety first and your kids don’t need to see the stuff I see and don’t mention here much.
Eva, it’s gotten better and better and the focus isn’t really even on the candy anymore. People just like decorating which makes me happy.
