😀 I'm feeling happy today. Sitting on the deck finishing my second cup of coffee. The hummingbirds are going crazy all around me, vying for their spot at the feeders.One feeder is out of commission at the moment. They drained it dry & I had to make more feed. It's filled & in the fridge to cool off enough to hang. The Blue Jays have made it a habit to stop by each morning looking for their daily feed of peanuts. I put out a half dozen along with some organic sweet potato dog cookies for them to enjoy. They are comical trying to figure out how to get more than one treat at a time. Occasionally they manage!
The sun is shining & I'm keeping my fingers crossed it lasts. Our Book Club is planned to meet on my neighbor's riverside deck this evening. We'll bring our own snacks & drinks & sit apart...but we'll be able to see each other in person 😀
Need to put away some laundry & water some plants so I should go do that.
Dinner tonight is going to be frozen pizza. Quick & easy after I get home. Maybe a salad on the side.

What a beautiful place where you can enjoy your feathered friends! I too have jays that come for their morning peanuts! I wonder if they are the same kind as yours. Ours are pretty much solid bright blue with black heads. Steller's jays. They "swallow" down peanuts in the shell, carry away one in their beaks, hide them for later and come back for more. Such fun to watch! I'm sorry your book club had to be inside... Maybe next time! ♥️
