See, all that swimming and a sucky dessert worked! When you saw the word lavender, you should have run. Tricky ingredient to work with and not make your food taste like soap.

We all shared desserts. My oldest got pop rocks infused cheesecake that was awesome though sounds bad. My youngest got a butter cookie tart with fire roasted peaches. Diameter was about 3" so after she saw her dad's dessert, she was disappointed but quickly realized how full she was. Food sharing and bites of everything, we've learned, is the way to go! 🙃

E..I teased on Diablo's dessert pic. Mine wasn't bad and I was intrigued by the description. Definitely wouldn't choose again but glad I gave it a whirl - or bite. I never heard of it before. I'm not very well traveled. Lol.

I really am feeling great, Becc@. We went to a big candy store about an hour after dinner and we discussed what we were going to "split"... But resisted together. I adore chocolate covered pretzels and they had turtle pecan cluster covered pretzels. 😬 We slowly backed away from the counter. Both could've fit it in, but a bigger deficit is best for me...especially since each day is a teensy bit harder on vacation.

Good for you for backing away. I am not sure I could have handled the candy store. Pancakes! My favorite are the Nut and Grain pancakes at IHOP. Haven't had them in years. Looking forward to your pancake report. 😋❤❤
